Day 2 (Janet's Birthday)

On day two of Mike and Janet's visit, it was Janet's birthday. We started the day with a walk along the malecon and the beach.

We then headed for the Plazuela Machado (Old Town).
Toured the Casa de Leyenda Bed and Breakfast.
I have attached their website. http://www.casadeleyendas.com/
Casa de Leyenda patio.
We also walked the streets of Old Town and around the Plazuela.

We enjoyed the beautiful flowers at the Melville Hotel in the heart of old town.

Then we were off to the Aroma Spa for massages. We all enjoyed our massages. What a treat for Janet on her birthday and the price was incredible. 1 hour, $120 pesos (less than $12 US).
When on vacation in Mazatlan this is a must. Check out their website. http://www.aromaspa.ws/

On our way back home, we stopped by Panama Bakery and picked up a birthday cake for Janet. She chose a 3 layer tres leche cake with peaches, kiwi, strawberries, grapes and pineapple on top. The sides had white frosting with chocolate covered walnuts. It was just delicious!!

That afternoon we did a little relaxing by the pool.

As the sun sets, we head to Torres Mazatlan for Janet's b-day dinner.
Our waiter, Ishmael, brought Janet her b-day drink.
She had a Miami Vice.
I think it consists of rum, pina colada mix and daiquiri mix. Janet said it was very yummy!

Then it was time for her b-day dessert, Flan. Ishmael once
again brings it to her with clanking and whistling.

We end her birthday with a little salsa dancing in the "La Terraza" at Playa Mazatlan.
What a day! Janet seemed to be pleased with her birthday here in Mazatlan.
