Not much to post lately.....

We've been pretty relaxed lately. Trying to keep warm down here. It's been very cool. We even tried to find a space heater at Home Depot but they were all sold out. For most of you, the temps down here would seem warm. It's been in the 50s at night and mid 70s in the daytime. It's been very cool for us - we've even been wearing socks and sweaters.

I have been taking Yoga classes on Saturdays and we have been taking lots of walks on the malecon. Greg has been enjoying the football games at one of the local bars.

This coming Friday, January 18th we'll be leaving for our trip to Tonola. So we will be posting that adventure in a few weeks. Also, Carnaval is Jan 31 - Feb 5. If you don't know, it's described as the biggest, the gaudiest, the loudest, the splashiest, the most fun time of year in Mazatlan. It's 110 years old and rumored to be the third largest celebration of its kind in the Americas, after Rio de Janeiro and New Orleans. Posters have been going up all over town advertising the event. We will be seeing the statues going up very soon too. This year the theme is "Legends of Long Ago" based on Greek mythology. So the statues should be very interesting. We are trying to get tickets for the coronation of the Carnaval queen but having some trouble. We have a new administration that took over with the new year and everyone is saying that is the reason for the trouble in getting the tickets. Not very well organized this year. So we'll see.

We've been having very low tides and spectacular sunsets lately.
Here is a recent photo. Enjoy.
