Recent trip to the Orphanage

Here are a few new photos of our recent day at the orphanage. There were a few things for Greg to do and the kids enjoyed helping him out. They had 2 cribs donated. Presently, they don't have a use for them, as they have no babies. So Greg took them apart so they could store them away. As you can see in the photos, he had lots of help. One of the girls asked him if he could fix the brakes on her bike too. She was so happy. Greg is finding it very rewarding helping as he can with repairs, etc. around the orphanage. We will be returning the end of the month to help with hanging curtains and light installation in the girls (16 - 18 year old) new room.

We also dropped off some photos that were taken by a photographer, friend of ours, Terry Dehart. He and Jane were vacationing here last October and we took them with us to the orphanage. Terry made prints of his photos of the children and donated them. They were so pleased to get them and they were just beautiful photos. The children really enjoyed seeing pictures of themselves.

During this trip I also took my note cards to them. The girls will be selling them at their annual Gala Musical fundraiser coming up on March 15 held at the orphanage. We attended this Gala last year and it is a very enjoyable event. Greg and I have been busy distributing tickets around Mazatlan for this event.
