Hello from Yakima

This morning, about 7:30, Greg hiked to the El Faro Lighthouse here in Mazatlan. El Faro was built in 1879 and is the best known lighthouse in Mexico. Famous for it's spectacular views and is one of the highest lighthouses in the world. It's 500 feet above sea level and has incredible views of Mazatlan. It took Greg 20 minutes to climb to the top. He said in the beginning the path was challenging with gravel and lots of ruts but then turned, about half way up, to stairs. He mentioned he didn't run into any banditos but lots of tourists, since this is Easter week here in Mazatlan. Enjoy the pics he took from the top of El Faro. Today I'm going over to Stone Island for the day with some girlfriends. Here is some info about this area of Mazatlan. Should be a fun day! Greg is staying home today, as the electrician is coming to work on the fans. We're getting ready for our visit from my sister, Cindy and her son Alex. Today we returned from a mini vacation at our timeshare, Torres Mazatlan. From last Wednesday through today, Sunday, March 30th it has been Motorcycle week here in Mazatlan. We escaped to avoid the horrible noise of thousands of motorcycles that have been in town. They cruise the malecon this time of year day and night and it is extremely annoying. We enjoyed 5 days of peace and quite at our timeshare. We also recently enjoyed a visit from Jessica, Serena and Jackie. They were only here a few days but we enjoyed every minute of their stay. Here are a few photos we took while they were here. Brian, Laura, Natalie & Andrew arrive on April 19th. They will be with us for a week and we are very excited to see them.
